HMD Global launched a trio of smartphones – Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 – at an event in Russia last evening. The company announced the global retail price for all the three models and confirmed that Nokia 3.1 will go on sale from June, while the Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 5.1 will become available from July.

While HMD Global did not confirm the retail price of these models for individual markets, a slip-up from the company might have given away the India price. Nokia India website has listed the price of Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 2.1 in what seems like an inadvertent effort, reports GSMArena. The website reveals the Nokia 5.1 will be priced at Rs 12,499, while the Nokia 2.1 will have a price tag of Rs 6,999. The pricing is consistent with last year’s models whichever launched in India with the same price tag.

While pricing for Nokia 3.1 is not listed on Nokia’s India website, it could be priced at Rs 9,499, the retail price at which last year’s Nokia 3 was launched. It is possible that the pricing shown for Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 2.1 is caused by the way HMTL script is parsed on Nokia’s website. HMD Global might announce the smartphones in India next month with sales beginning in July.

The Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 were announced as the successors to Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and Nokia 2 in Russia. The smartphones are the newest mid-range and entry-level offerings from the Finnish company. The Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 feature taller display with thinner bezels, which makes them in line with other smartphones in this segment. Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 also feature an updated camera and processor to better compete with Chinese rivals.

Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 now feature a 5.5-inch Full HD+ and 5.2-inch HD+ displays respectively. They are powered by MediaTek Helio P18 and MediaTek 6750 chipsets respectively with option for either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage. The Nokia 5.1 features a 16-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera, while the Nokia 3.1 offers a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Both the phones run Android 8.1 Oreo, and are based on Android One program.

It offers an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel camera at the front. The Nokia 2.1 comes with 4,000mAh battery, and is aimed at first-time smartphone buyers.
