OnePlus 6, the new flagship smartphone from OnePlus, was launched at a global event on May 16. The smartphone is one of the most talked about mobile devices right now, but it is definitely not short of problems.

OnePlus has admitted to a bug on OnePlus 6 that silences phone audio during a call. The Chinese smartphone maker told Fuse Boxed that the bug will be fixed in an upcoming OTA update. However, it has not shared any timeline as to when the update will be released to OnePlus 6 users.

The bug is easy to replicate on your OnePlus 6 if you have the flagship smartphone. During a phone call, OnePlus 6 users need to switch the phone into speakerphone mode. The bug forces the call to fall silent instead of activating the speakerphone mode. When users try to switch back to handset mode, the audio still does not get activated, which can be painful if you tend to make speakerphone calls.

The only solution to this problem is to hang up the call, and then reconnect with the caller. OnePlus says it will fix this issue with the next update and also restore the status bar battery percentage display option.

According to Fuse Boxed, the next update for OnePlus 6 will bring option to display more notifications icons in the status bar. It will also remove three overflow status bar dots on all devices and increase notification and ringtone sound volume.

With OnePlus 6, OnePlus has improved the camera performance significantly over its predecessor, but most critics have reported that the autofocus is relatively slow. OnePlus has also confirmed that the next update will improve autofocus performance of the rear camera. It will also fix problems when using Idea Cellular as secondary or non-data SIM. There will also be an option to schedule do-not-disturb mode with next update.

One issue that will not be addressed with an upcoming OTA update is one where the screen ratio is off when viewing certain apps. OnePlus confirmed in a tweet that this issue will be resolved post the OTA release. OnePlus 6 is being pitched as a performance-centric smartphone, and it does seem to excel in synthetic performance. With the OTA fixing minor issues, the smartphone should become even more attractive for the asking price of Rs 34,999.
