Samsung has launched its latest budget smartphone called the Galaxy J4. The phone was revealed earlier today by a Mumbai-based local retailer through a tweet, which showcased the phone’s name, along with a picture of its box, and reveals that the phone is a part of Samsung’s Make for India initiative.

According to the tweet, the Galaxy J4 is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be coming with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Samsung still hasn’t listed the phone on its website and neither could we spot it on Flipkart or Amazon. However, it looks like the phone has already made its way to some offline retailers. We’re only waiting for an official word from Samsung now to get more details.

Samsung Galaxy J4 specifications and features

The budget smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display, with the standard aspect ratio of 16:9. It is said to be running on an Exynos 7570 quad-core SoC, coupled alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The phone features an expandable storage of 256GB via a microSD card. The phone is said to run on Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

For taking pictures, the phone comes with a 13-magapixel camera at the back, and a 5-megapixel camera at the front. Both cameras support LED flash for taking pictures in low-light situations. The rear camera can also shoot full HD videos. Underneath the hood is a 3,000mAh battery, which should be able to power through a day with no problems.
